District 20 News: Fighting to save Pittsburgh Regional Transit
District 20 News: Fighting to save Pittsburgh Regional Transit
As a state representative serving Allegheny County, I hear from constituents every day who rely on Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) to get to work, the doctor’s office, school, and to see loved ones. Indeed, members of my own staff rely exclusively on PRT to get them to my office to serve you. Public transit isn’t just another line item in the budget — it’s a lifeline for our communities. And right now, as PRT riders already know, that lifeline is in jeopardy. 05/31/2025 08:55 AM

It’s almost summer, folks! Sunnier days are on the horizon, and I’m grateful to see neighbors exploring the community, supporting local businesses, and embracing all that District 21 has to offer. While we get ready to swap our winter gear for summer attire, I want to take a moment to highlight some notable services from my office. 05/28/2025 09:00 AM

Chamber Update: New community award honors local changemakers
A new tradition of honoring community leadership has taken root at the Northside | North Shore Chamber of Commerce with the launch of the Mary Ann Graf Community Spirit Award — an accolade created to recognize an individual, organization, or business who embodies the dedication to enhancing the well-being of the Northside’s residents, improving the Northside’s physical environment, and elevating the overall quality of life in the area. District 1 News: Various city projects planned for construction season
District 1 News: Various city projects planned for construction season
Hello everyone, While we begin to enjoy warmer weather and the sounds of spring, that also tends to bring along a different, perhaps more irritating sound: one of construction. At the end of March, construction season in the Northside officially began with the start of the long awaited North Avenue Signals & Safety project. I am excited to see the upgrades to the traffic signals and pedestrian crosswalks along North Avenue from Arch Street to Middle Street. While this will be a temporary headache, with detours and delays, the end result will be worth it. To follow along, check out the project’s Engage page here: engage. pit tsburghpa.gov/nor th-avenue-signals- and-safety-project. 05/07/2025 09:00 AM
