On Thursday, May 18, hundreds of hungry sandwich lovers roamed the Priory’s Great Hall in search of their favorite Northside sandwich.

Some judges dared to voice their opinions of who should win the 2017 Sandwich Sampler, others let the masses speak for themselves.

The 2016 Sandwich Kings at Young Brothers Bar fell short for the crown this year and became the runner-up with their Triple Decker sammich that includes beef brisket, pulled pork and sausage topped with cole slaw and a savory sauce.

With her Mother Clucker — a glazed doughnut, fried chicken with sriracha mayo & pickle — owner of Chateau Cafe & Cakery Keren DeCarlo was crowned the crowd favorite and 2017 Sandwich Queen.

Twelve restaurants participated in this years Sandwich Week and their sandwiches are available at their locations until Sunday, May 28. Dibs for Favorite Northside Sandwich Joint is still up for grabs. For the list of events for participating restaurants, click here.
