Steel City Shakespeare Center returns to Troy Hill with ‘The Tempest’

Steel City Shakespeare Center will be returning to Troy Hill for the second year to perform “The Tempest,” which will run from June 17-18, and June 24-25 in Troy Hill Citizens Park.

The performances will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday’s and Sunday’s with a suggested donation of $15.

The cast of “The Tempest” features five actors alternating between 15 different roles played by Sandee Rollins, Anne Rematt, David Loehr, Paige Borak, and Ryan Bergman. The play is directed by SCSC Artistic Director Jeffrey Chips and Assistant Director Zil Ricker, and begins with a giant storm at sea and takes the audience through a journey of heartbreak, loss, zany hijinks, redemption’s, sacrifice and love.

Advance reservations are available on www.eventbrite.com and a special preview performance will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 15 at Tupelo Honey Teas in Millvale. For more information, visit www.steelcityshakespeare.com or email steelcityshakespeare@gmail.com.
