The Carnegie Science Center, along with its associated buildings, the Highmark SportsWorks® and The Rangos Giant Cinema, switched to their fall and winter schedule starting on September 8, 2020. These hours are now in effect through Tuesday, March 30, 2021.

The Science Center will now be closed on Tuesdays except for the weeks of December 22 and 29 for the holidays. A special time for at-risk visitors including seniors, people with disabilities, and those with compromised immune systems has been carved out on Sundays, from 10 a.m. to noon; regular Sunday hours are noon to 5 p.m.

Guests are also able to visit from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday through Saturday.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Carnegie Science Center has kept their building capacity at 15% to adhere to proper social distancing protocols. Tickets are sold on a 30-minute timed-entry status.
