Another year of promoting, connecting, and supporting Northside businesses

From Gina Grone — Executive Director, Northside North Shore Chamber of Commerce

The Northside North Shore Chamber serves the business community in and around the Northside and has been doing so since 1897. We currently have 350 member businesses, and we serve them by promoting, connecting, and supporting.

Here are some of our recent activities and updates.

Renewed members: The following 25 companies or organizations renewed their investment in the past month: AmSpirit Business Connections, Apraxia Kids, Armory Print Works, Bookminders, City of Asylum, DX Performance, Dollar Bank, Good Deed Closings, Healthy Ride PGH (POGOH), Huckestein Mechanical Services, Ida’s Sandwich Shop, J Francis Company, LGG Creative Art, Live Fresh Juicery, Lockhart Tire, Mistick Construction Company, North Shore Kitchen Design Center, North Star Consulting Services, Northside Animal Hospital, Northside Common Ministries, Off the Floor Pittsburgh, Providence Engineering, Union Fitness, Urban Impact Foundation and WNA Engineering.

New members: We were pleased to welcome the following eight companies or organizations as new

Job-seeker resources

Do you want to know about job openings on the Northside and about training programs that lead to great jobs? One of our goals for 2024 is to connect more Northside community members to the workforce resources available from the NorthSideWorks! program.

Monthly job-seeker email — Each month, we send an email with information about job fairs, open positions, training programs, and other helpful information. Sign up to receive that email at bit.ly/3TqRGvG.

Social media — Throughout the week, we share information about jobs and training programs via Facebook and Instagram. Connect with us at @northsideworks on both platforms.

Career chats — Call or email us to talk about your needs. We’ll point you in the right direction! Call Quinn Kirby at (412) 231-6500 or email quinn@northsidechamberofcommerce.com.

Northside dining and culture guide

In 2024, you’ll be seeing more activity from the chamber that promotes the member companies and organizations that are in the dining and culture space. There’s so much to enjoy on the Northside, and the chamber wants to help its residents and employees and visitors know about it more!

One piece that we’ll be distributing to people and events throughout the year is our “Northside Dining and Culture Guide. An initial version is available by scanning the QR code or visiting bit.ly/northside-dining- culture.

Support chamber members, they’re invested in the Northside community! Learn more about the chamber by visiting our website (northsidechamberofcommerce.com), contacting us at (412) 231-6500 or at info@northsidechamberofcommerce.com, or stopping into our office on Middle Street in Deutschtown.
