In Loving Memory

Eric E. Bartolowits passed away on October 11, 2023 after an unexpected diagnosis of cancer. He was 55 years old.

Born a twin on the North Side of Pittsburgh, Eric enlisted in the U.S.

Air Force after highschool and served two tours in the Middle East during his active duty. He worked in the Security Forces for nearly 20 years and achieved the rank of Tech Sergeant. After retiring from the military, Eric moved to California to continue working in private security. He remained a loyal Pittsburgh sports fan and loved to watch the games with his grandson, Riley.

Eric and his family traveled to be at their annual family reunion this past September when his health rapidly changed. He was deeply devoted to his family and friends, leaving many loved ones behind.

Eric is survived by his children; Eric E., Jr. (Stacy), James E., and Aedan E.; and his cherished grandson, Riley. Also survived by his mother, Frances K. Bartolowits; his siblings Valerie Prorok (Jim), Beverly Zugec (Steve), Lynda, Elaine Palmer (Mike), twin Beth Gardner (James), and Jason (Erica). Eric is preceded in death by his father, Edward E. Bartolowits; and his brother, Wayne E. Bartolowits (Kim)both were also diagnosed with cancer.

A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 2208 East Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15212 on December 2, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society by calling 1-800-227-2345.
