Chamber Update: November 2023

From Gina Grone – Executive Director, Northside North Shore Chamber of Commerce

The Northside North Shore Chamber serves the business community in and around the Northside and has been doing so since 1897. We currently have 350 member businesses, and we serve them by promoting, connecting and supporting.

Here are some of our recent activities and updates.

Members

Renewed Members: The following 15 companies or organizations renewed their membership in the past month: AmCom Office Systems, Breadworks, Cordia Energy, Dress for Success Pittsburgh, Faros Properties / Nova Place / Alloy 26, Health Monitoring Systems, Junior Achievement, Lending Heights, Northside Leadership Conference, Oliver Flowers, Pittsburgh Spine and Injury Center, Pressley Ridge, Special Olympics, ThistleSea Business Development and Trulieve.

New Members: We were pleased to welcome the following nine companies or organizations as new members in the past month: Charlie Krebs, Hugh Lane Wellness Foundation, Invest PGH, Klimchak Communications, Nicole Suchin Design Services, Process Works, Rediscover Your Closet, Wilson’s BBQ and Wise County Café.

Update on ‘Road to 400’

We started 2023 with 270 companies and organizations counted as members of the chamber. Our goal by the end of the year was to increase this number to 400 and we are closing in! We currently have 350 members, each company or organization in or with an interest in the Northside.

A larger chamber means more funding to employ more staff and thus do more programming. What does this mean for businesses and the Northside community? l Promote — More opportunities to promote our members through social media and traditional marketing.

  • Connect — Increased connections at our smaller networking events (about twice monthly) as well as our larger signature events.
  • Support — Leading key conversations that affect the whole Northside, such as workforce development, public safety, and tourism.

If you are part of a business or organization that is in or has an interest in the Northside, ensure that it’s included in our online directory at northsidechamberofcommerce.com. If not, let’s talk! Contact information below.

Holiday Gala invitation

The chamber’s Annual Holiday Gala is a great way to kick off your holiday celebrations! For 2023, it’s on Nov. 30 at Rivers Casino.

This event ($125-150 per person) is open to the community and ticket sales are open now. Your ticket gets you access to an open bar, delicious food, silent auctions and raffle tickets, entertainment and more!
