February poll results

February saw the launch of an exciting new feature on The Northside Chronicle’s website: polls!

We asked our visitors to cast their votes on a variety of topics. As promised, we will be printing the results of each month’s poll in The Chronicle, so let’s see how The Northside voted during the month of February.

Our first poll asked how many Northside neighborhoods our readers have lived in. Unfortunately, a technical error caused the poll not to record any results. These sorts of issues come when setting up a new website design, which we did in January. Perhaps we’ll ask this question again at a later date, now that the issue is fixed.

The first poll that people could properly respond to asked our readers what their preferred Valentine’s Day date was. This ended in a three-way tie, between seeing a movie, staying at home and the “other” choice. Seems for at least one-third of our readers, the most romantic place to be is at home.

Our final question for the month was also about a holiday, but this time about Mardi Gras. We asked how many of you were celebrating it. As it turns out, none of you were! A total of 75% of respondents said they weren’t celebrating it and don’t often do, while 25% said they were not celebrating this year, but wish they were.

That’s all the results for this time. Check out new polls on our website each Sunday, at thenorthsidechronicle.com.
