BREAKING: Perry graduate to add books to school’s library

A Perry High School graduate will install two of her own books in the school’s library in an event this Friday.

Maisha Howze , who graduated from Perry in 1991, will add two of her books to the school’s library, including her upcoming release “Hidden Gems: Black Women in the Workplace,” according to a press release sent out about the event. In addition to the adding the books, Howze will meet with Black female students as “both books speak to the healing, hurdles and higher achievement of African American women,” according to the release.
