Pennsylvania business owners: If your business was deemed non-essential and forced to close due to Governor Tom Wolf’s order on March 19, today, April 3, is the last day you can request an exemption. The deadline is 5 p.m. Click here to make a request for a Business Exemption Waiver.

According to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s website, decisions regarding Business Exemption Waivers will be communicated exclusively via email, and “will balance public health, safety, and the security of our industry supply chains supporting life-sustaining businesses.”

The governor’s order stated that in an effort to minimize the spread of COVID-19, physical locations of all non-life sustaining businesses in the state must close, effective at 8 p.m. on March 19. Enforcements against businesses that do not comply with this order began on March 23 at 8 a.m. Click here for a list of businesses that constitute “life-sustaining.”
