“‘Keep this Coupon’ is a series of encounters that will connect presentations of current projects by working artists with exhibitions of related content from the Artists Image Resource print archive. These small events will be complimented by actions that will include hands-on making activities that further inform the work on display. The first 2020 Action is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 29 and will include work from AIR’s Golden Cage Portfolio Project. The portfolio includes work by artists Robert Hodge (HOU), Robert Williams (NYC), Maritza Mosquera (PGH), Darrell Kinsel (PGH), Quaishawn Whitlock (PGH) and Bekezela Mguni (PGH). Work from the AIR archive will be curated by artists Mark Franchino and Jeremy Boyle and curator Vicky A. Clark. Hands-on printing and demonstrations will be led by artists Jesse Caggiano, Matt George, Quaishawn Whitlock. Each of these events will be open to the public with a required RSVP to effectively organize activities throughout the studio (space is limited).
