This weekend, it’s Anti-Valentine’s Day at Federal Galley, the Little House Big Art Studio Birthday in Spring Hill, the Northside Mardi Gras Kickoff at Max’s Allegheny Tavern, and more.

Thursday, Feb. 13

Royal Trio at Huszar

“Come to… Huszar for authentic Hungarian food and wonderful music from the Royal Trio direct from Budapest! Let them take you back to a time when life was simpler, the food tasted better, and music was central in everyday life. Call for your reservations at 412-322-8795. One Northside Celebration

“Join chamber member One Northside for the Annual One Northside Celebration! Bring your family, friends & neighbors to share in the progress that has been made over the past year on the Northside. Free parking at Gold Lot 1A. Dinner will be served at 6:00 pm with a short program beginning at 6:30 pm. This is a free event. RSVP here.” Event is from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and located at Heinz Field, Suite B, 100 Art Rooney Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15212.

Friday, Feb. 14

Anti-Valentine’s Day at Federal Galley

“Not a fan of Valentine’s Day? Don’t worry, Federal Galley gets it. Whether you’re single and ready to mingle or you and your S/O don’t like the typical box of chocolates, Federal Galley’s got you covered! Bring in a photo of you & your ex and you’ll receive a raffle ticket for a basket full of goodies! Bring in an item of your ex to donate and you’ll receive a free drink! Plus, there are two special drinks available. One for those who still believe in love, and one for those who need a drink as dark as their heart. We’ll start the day with early open studio and free brunch snacks- coffee & tea (from our amazing pals at Tupelo Honey Teas), assorted pastries, and juice (feel free to bring mix ins for mimosas or bloody Marys). Northside Mardi Gras Kickoff at Max’s

“Kick off the Northside Mardi Gras celebration with a fun night of live entertainment from the Red Beans & Rice Combo! What is Northside Mardi Gras? From February 15-25, local Northside businesses present food/drink and retail + live entertainment!” Doors open at 7:30 pm.; event is from 8 to 10:30 p.m. Price is $5 at the door. Communications Committee Volunteering for the Brighton Heights Citizens Federation

“The Brighton Heights Citizens Federation (BHCF) is looking for committed volunteers to serve on its Communications Committee! The growing needs of the neighborhood together with the various methods that people receive info. means that more hands and skills are needed! BHCF currently reaches neighbors through print, social media, email, and occasionally by following up the old fashioned way via phone and direct mail! If you have an interest or skills in any of the following that you’d like to share, please join for a brief meeting over pastries and coffee starting at 1 p.m.! Skills include: Data entry , Mail Merge, Outlook, Mail Chimp, Web design, Graphic design, Photography, Bulk mailing (folding, labeling, mailing).
