On Dec. 14, the spirit of holiday joy and cheer was strong and contagious at BJ’s Event Center on Woods Run. Proprietors Jermain and Keith Younger served as hosts of the first annual “Breakfast with Santa.” They worked alongside members of the Iota Phi Foundation and delighted more than 50 children and their families.

Special “elves” came through the night to decorate the venue while other neighborhood merrymakers donated over 300 toys, books, toothbrushes, and goodies. Visitors were treated to a special menu provided by Global Gifts Travel. Everyone was entertained by the live sounds of BAQ II BAQ and each family got to take a photo with Santa himself.

The neighborhood effort brought smiles and warmth to children ages two through 10.

BJ’s Event Center is located at 1439 Woods Run Ave. in Marshall-Shadeland.
