Thursday, August 1

Northside Public Safety Council Meeting

Head to Manchester Citizens Corporation (MCC) at 1319 Allegheny Ave., 15233, for the monthly NPSC meeting. NPSC meets on the first Thursday of every month. For more information, call NPSC at 412-321-0295 or email [email protected]

PCTV21 Orientation and Producer Prep

Orientation is the starting point for anyone wishing to become a PCTV producer. This workshop gives you an introduction to PCTV and the tremendous opportunities it offers. Orientation is Free and from 6 to 9 p.m. PCTV is located at 1300 Western Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15233. For more information and to RSVP, click here.

“Final Wappen” on the “Wappen Wall” at Teutonia Mannerchor

A Celebration in the Biergarten for the “Final Wappen” placed on the “Wappen Wall.” Program starts at 7pm. Free admission to all members and guests

Studio B Comedy

Italian Night at PNC Park

Join the Pirates to celebrate Italian Heritage! Each ticket includes an Italian Night T-shirt. Arrive early to check out pregame Italian music, specialty food items, and more on Federal Street. Pghrecordnight at The Park House

Record Night is back in action and your hosts will be bringing the sounds that make you get down. Stop on out at The Park House at 403 E. Ohio St., Pittsburgh, PA 15212, between 8:30 and 1:30 to sign up and dj your very own half-hour set! Aquatic Jamboree at The Pittsburgh Project

Bring your group, friends and family to a casual, summertime, fun, social event at the pool with Coach Mark at 2 pm on the weekends. Get some fitness, swim tips, and play well with others in a non-contact, competitive, aquatic disk game. Events are slated for 2 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, weather permitting, on the Northside at the outdoor pool of The Pittsburgh Project, located at the corner of North Charles Street & Wilson Ave., at Fowler Park. This is the last date for this event. Play SKWIM with Coach Mark and others. Equipment provided with the support of a grant from Pittsburgh Play Collaborative. Cost is $3 at the gate, or free with your 2019 Citiparks Pool Pass. All ages and abilities welcome. Play happens in the shallow water. Pool hours: 1 to 7 pm to August 8, 2019. Questions? Showcase Manchester

Manchester Historic Society invites you to Showcase Manchester, an annual tour of homes, gardens — and this year, even more — in this historic North Side neighborhood. Scheduled for Sunday, August 4, from 11 am to 5pm. Discounted tickets are available for $15 until Friday, August 2. Tickets can be purchased at City Books, 908 Galveston Avenue, during normal business hours, or any time at manchesterhousetour.com. After August 2, tickets will be $20. A limited number of tickets for a special, guided tour led by neighborhood residents will be available, online only, for $30. The tour starts at the Colonel James Anderson House at 1423 Liverpool Street. All visitors should stop there to pick up tour maps and tickets for entry to the nine tour stops. R.O. Kwon at Alphabet City
