Feel cultured this weekend? Meet dancers from both the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and the Dance Theatre of Harlem at Carnegie Library’s Allegheny branch. Want to party? Check out Sikes and The New Violence at Scratch or Quantum Theatre’s annual Q-Ball. Feeling more business-minded? The Northside Community Development Fund is hosting a workshop on how to start your own business and Alloy 26 is offering free coworking on Friday.

Starting Your Own Business 101

The Northside Community Development Fund (NSCDF) is holding a workshop for Northsiders interested in starting their own business. Community residents can stop by Arnold’s Tea, located at 502 E. Ohio St., 15212, to learn about the funding opportunities NSCDF offers for start-up and existing businesses located on Pittsburgh’s Northside. #CafeInnovation at Innovation Works

Finding and hiring technical talent is one of the biggest recruiting challenges today. Join Innovation Works for a conversation with a panel of leaders in the startup, corporate, university, and coding boot-camp spaces to discuss best practices. Meet the Dancers at Carnegie Library – Allegheny

Join dancers from Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and Dance Theatre of Harlem to learn how the two companies are working together for a special Pittsburgh performance. Children and families can try out simple ballet steps, meet ballet dancers from both companies, and join in informal conversations with dancers and other audience members. Northside Jams with Sikes and The New Violence at Scratch

A night of Northside revelry with Sikes and The New Violence, featuring $9 cocktails made with Wigle Whiskey and Threadbare Cider and Mead and a new tasty bar menu. SIKES is an American Hip-Hop producer & emcee. His backing band, THE NEW VIOLENCE is a diverse group of talent curated by SIKES himself to help bring his electronic compositions and ideas to life through live instrumentations. Free Coworking Fridays at Alloy 26

Free drop-in days on the 3rd Friday of every month at the Nova Place location. Included in a day pass is access to the space of your choice from 9am-5pm, the ability to work in one of the lounge areas or at an available flex desk, free coffee and snacks. Fish Fry at Allegheny Elks #339

The Elks Annual Lenten Fish Fry runs every Friday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. during Lent, including Good Friday. Each meal of hand-breaded Atlantic cod on a Breadworks roll comes with two homemade sides (choose from fries, mac & cheese, stewed tomatoes, and coleslaw). More details available here.

FREE Water Filter Distribution Event

Women for a Healthy Environment will be distributing FREE water pitchers and filters certified to remove lead from tap water. They can answer questions on how to reduce lead exposures. Come to Arnold’s Coffee & Tea, 502 E Ohio St., 15212 or Pittsburgh Perry Traditional Academy, 3875 Perrysville Ave., on Saturday March 23rd from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and receive a FREE water filter to protect your health and reduce you and your family’s lead exposure. Representatives from Women for a Healthy Environment will be available at both locations to answer your questions on how to reduce lead exposures in your home. 2001 Night Club Reunion Party at McNaugher School Gym

Break out your Bell-Bottoms and come ready to Boogie! Join Allegheny City Historic Gallery as they recreate 2001 Night Club, Northside’s hottest disco club, featuring the original DJ Jimmy Waxter.
