An Octoroon at the New Hazlett Center for Performing Arts
This wildly imaginative work, Winner of the 2014 OBIE Award for Best New American Play, simultaneously gives us Dion Boucicault’s great 19th Century melodrama and its contemporary reverberations. An Octoroon invites us to laugh loudly at how naïve the old stereotypes now seem until nothing seems funny at all. It may be this decade’s most eloquent theatrical statement on race in America today.

Join Attack Theatre for an interactive movement exploration of Rube Goldberg™: The World of Hilarious Invention! These 30-minute workshops offer a kinesthetic approach to the cause and effect world behind Rube Goldberg’s uncanny contraptions.
