There’s lots to see and do this weekend in the Northside, including a honky-tonk dance party at Allegheny Elks Lodge #339, a benefit for Randyland at The Young Men’s Republican Club and grooming options for your dog at Wagsburgh.

Thursday, Jan. 24

In Your Business Networking at Siempre Algo

Touch base with other Northside businesses and employees. This event will be at East Ohio Street’s newest restaurant, Siempre Algo! Registration includes small bites to sample the menu and one drink ticket. Cost is $15 for North Side/Shore Chamber members and $20 for non-members. Event is limited to 35 attendees. Mead Focus Group at Threadbare

Attention Mead-lovers! Join the folks at Threadbare Cider at 7 p.m. for an hour-long focus group to discuss all things mead! Threadbare is seeking volunteers who LOVE mead to come to the cider house to help in the development of a soon-to-be-released product. In addition to a lively conversation, light snacks and samples of a few different meads will be provided. RSVP is required. RSVP via the Threadbare website.

Honky-Tonk Jukebox Dance Party at Allegheny Elks Lodge #339

The monthly Honky-Tonk Jukebox Country Music Dance Party rolls into 2019! Catch the #339 Band performing country hits new and old. This event will be hosted by Jon Bindley of Bindley Hardware Co. and feature the #339 House Band: Jake Hanner, Patricia Imbrogno, Buck Chutz, Rich Kawood Greg Marchetti, Pete Freeman, Rocky Youhon, along with Chet Vincent, Molly Alphabet, Angela Autumn, Bryce Rabideau Shane McLaughlin Mac Inglis, and more! A few special guests will be making their Honky-Tonk Jukebox debut: Scott Roger Peterson, Lee Hintenlang and Jeffrey Betten. Presented by Deutschstown Music Festival, Pittsburgh’s Northside, and Liveburghstudios, the Honky-Tonk Jukebox Country Music Dance Party will be happening from 7:30 to 11 p.m. at Allegheny Elks Lodge #339, located at 400 Cedar Ave. in Historic Deutschtown. Sweaty Already String Band at Bier’s Pub

The Free Store at Propel Northside’s Community Wellness Center

Community members are welcome to visit the free store from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to get needed items such as clothing and personal care products. Shoppers of various ages are invited to select up to five items during their shopping experience! They’re encouraged to take only what they need. If you’d like to donate, donations are accepted on Tuesdays from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and Thursdays from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Propel Northside Community Wellness Center is located at 1805 Buena Vista St., Pittsburgh, PA, 15212. Randyland Benefit Featuring Three Sides at The Young Men’s Republican Club

David McDermott, “MAC,” who helped build Randyland for over 25 years, has passed away. Come to a benefit for Randy Gilson and Randyland in Mac’s honor. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to Randy to be used for the future of Randyland. Raffle baskets will be set up and there will be complimentary food. Grooming Is Back for 2019 at Wagsburgh

Bring on the NEW YEAR with your pup’s nails, paw pads or ears being touched up by Doggone Delightful’s Karen Streb. Karen is amazing with taking her time and making your pup feel comfortable. Karen’s been known to even sing to calm the fur kids while she does her magic. Nail trimming is $10, paw pad trimming is $10 and ear cleaning is $8. Walk-ins welcome. No appointment necessary. Free Solo at Science Center Rangos

Witness one of the greatest athletic feats of all time in National Geographic Films’ Free Solo, a new documentary that follows free soloist climber Alex Honnold as he prepares to achieve his lifelong dream of climbing the 3,000-foot El Capitan rock in Yosemite National Park – without a rope.
