Thanksgiving meals free for Northside neighbors in need

This week, Pittsburgh Police officers deliver traditional Thanksgiving meals to Northside community members in need. The deadline to request a meal is Tuesday, Nov. 20.

Get Stuffed with Love, an annual community and police effort over the past 15 years to brighten Thanksgiving for neighbors in need, provides traditional Thanksgiving day meals for free for people who are homeless, disabled or housebound. The deadline to request a meal is Tuesday, Nov. 20.

Food is prepared by community members and delivered by Pittsburgh Police officers on Thanksgiving morning. Organizers are the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, the Rotary Clubs of Bethel-St. Clair and Northern Allegheny and Holy Assumption of St. Mary Orthodox Church.

To request a meal for yourself or someone in need, contact the Northside Zone 1 Police Officers, Officer Sylvester Wright or Officer Darrick Payton by calling 412-323-7201.
