This weekend, check out the Third Thursday Film Screening at PCTV, commemorate the 155th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address with an appearance by the “Living Lincoln” at the Citiparks’ Brighton Heights Senior Center and have your pet’s photo taken with the Grinch at Wagsburgh to benefit Angel Ridge Animal Rescue and Joey’s PAW.

Thursday, Nov. 15

Brooks Fun Run at Allegheny City Brewing for Charity Miles

Pro Bike + Run and Brooks at Allegheny City Brewing join together to run for those less fortunate than ourselves. The run will be three to five miles in and around the North Shore. Once you return from the run and register your miles, Brooks will buy you your first beer. Proceeds from your miles this run will benefit Brooks Booster Club, supporting 25 underprivileged high school track teams across the U.S. More information available via Facebook.

Third Thursday Film Screenings at PCTV

On the third Thursday of every month at 7 p.m., PCTV hosts screenings of political documentaries followed by discussion. Located at PCTV, 1300 Western Ave. For more information, visit www.pctv21.org.

Living Lincoln at Brighton Heights Senior Center

The Living Lincoln (Rick Miller of Cranberry) will commemorate the 155th Anniversary of the Gettysburg Address at the Citiparks’ Brighton Heights Senior Center on Friday, Nov. 16, at 11:15 a.m. The address is 3515 McClure Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. Miller will present President Abraham Lincoln, describe the life and times of Lincoln, present the Gettysburg Address, and take questions from the audience as a Tribute to our U.S. Military Veterans. A Night Out with Pittsburgh’s Black Environmental Collective

On the evening of Nov. 16 from 6 to 9 p.m., Pittsburgh’s Black Environmental Collective will host a night out. This event will be an opportunity for environmental and environmental justice organizations to meet and mingle with the members of Pittsburgh’s new Black Environmental Collective and have lively conversations about our living environments. Come out and join us for live entertainment, heavy hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer and soft drinks at Chef Claude’s Arnold’s Tea, located at 502 E. Ohio St. Feel free to invite your friends. KRAV MAGA Self-Defense Course at AIR: Artists Image Resource

Learn real self-defense for real life situations. Krav Maga is the official martial art of the Israeli Defense Forces. Event is from 7 to 8 p.m. and there’s a $10 drop-in fee. Pay at the door. The 2018 School Choice Fair

Come learn what Pittsburgh’s K-12 magnet, charter and independent schools have to offer. Representatives from Pittsburgh Public Schools, public charter schools and private schools will all be in one place to help you figure out the best school options for your child. Hands-On Needlework at Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh – Allegheny
