Mark your calendars for a Printmaking Open Studio at Artists Image Resource, Vinyl Record & Art Night at Park House, Threadbare’s quarterly Owl Brunch, and Yoga to celebrate diversity at the Children’s Museum.

Thursday, July 5

Library in the Park: Northview Heights

From 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the library comes to Northview Heights! Meet librarians from the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh behind the high rise for games, crafts, and fun with books. Learn about the Summer Reading Program and sign up for a chance to win prizes. All ages are welcome. More information here.

Printmaking Open Studio

Starting at 5:00 p.m., Artists Image Resource (AIR) offers a Printmaking Open Studio for experienced screen printers working on short-run projects that can be completed in one evening. A small materials fee applies. Find more information on the AIR website.

Friday, July 6

Northside Farmer’s Market

Did you know the Citiparks Farmers Market accepts ACCESS cards? Check it out every Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. through November at Allegheny Commons Park on the East Common at Cedar Avenue. For more information, head to the Facebook event page.

Irish Music at the Park House

Starting at 9:30 p.m., Philadelphia singer-songwriter Ray Coleman will perform a show of Irish and American tunes. Admission is free. So are the peanuts and popcorn. For questions about the venue, check out The Park House Facebook Page.

Saturday, July 7

Yoga in the Park

The Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh is offering FREE Yoga in the Park most Saturdays at 10:30AM through September 29th in Allegheny West Park at Brighton Rd. and Ridge Ave. For more information, visit the Facebook event page.

Spring Hill Brewing Pre-Launch Party

From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., attendees will score a special glass, samples of five farmhouse beers, and salty snacks. Find more information on the event and how to purchase a ticket via the Facebook event page.

Vinyl Record & Art Night at Park House

The first Saturday of every month from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., bring your favorite vinyl records to Park House for a listening party. More information is available on the Facebook event page. Come early to color: Coloring book pages and colored pencils provided, starting at 6:00 p.m.

Sunday, July 8

Owl Brunch at Threadbare Cider House

Adults and children are welcome to attend Threadbare’s quarterly Owl Cafe Sunday Brunch. Event will feature a resident Humane Animal Rescue Owl. Attendance for the event is free with R.S.V.P. Food and drinks are available for purchase: Proceeds from drink and bottle sales at the event will benefit the Humane Animal Rescue Wildlife Center. Event is from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Chapman Room. See Threadbare’s website for more information and to R.S.V.P.

P.R.I.D.E. F.I.N.E. Artist Residency Event at the Children’s Museum

Join Felicia Savage Friedman from YogaRoots on Location for drawing and yoga poses to explore the beauty and diversity of skin tone. Event is from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in theTheater. Learn more about the P.R.I.D.E. (Positive Racial Identity Development in Early Education) Program, the F.I.N.E. (Fresh Innovative Nonstop Expression) Art Residency, and this event on the Children’s Museum website.
