Roaming Social Club visits Teutonia Männerchor

Mobile social club visits East Deutschtown’s famous Germanic private club

By: Jeff Geissler

Created by Ben Soltesz and Stephanie Brea, the Roaming Social Club (RSC) invites guests to explore the many private, ethnic members-only clubs littered throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area. Many of these clubs have declining memberships or are seeing a significant decrease in nightly visits. The RSC was created to help inject some life back into the ethnic fraternities that helped create Pittsburgh and introduce potential new members to the clubs.  Last month, the RSC explored the Teutonia Männerchor in East Deutschtown (founded in 1856).

At each destination, RSC members will learn about the history of the landmark, have access to the club plus one free beverage. Guests can purchase memberships or view an upcoming schedule of destinations via RSC’s website.
