Aviary’s 15th Annual Night in the Tropics

The National Aviary heats up on Saturday, July 8 with its 15th annual summer event Night in the Tropics.

This year’s World Tour theme aims to celebrate the diversity of the Aviary’s birds with globally inspired food and live entertainment that evoke the tropic’s sensory experience right in Pittsburgh’s Northside.
Ticket holders are invited to peruse the National Aviary’s lush exhibits after dark and admire rare, international birds up-close. Guests will also enjoy Hula dancing and fire performances by Tuika’s Polynesian Island Magic or dance under the stars to Latin beats by DJ 007 and live music by The Lava Game.

A varied and delicious spread from over 30 of Pittsburgh’s popular restaurants and bakeries will be available for those present. Atria’s, the National Aviary’s exclusive caterer, will provide an assorted menu and live chef demonstrations for all guests. VIP ticket holders will have access to dishes from the Local Brewhouse, Social House 7, Steel Cactus, and Ten Penny, as well as additional chef demonstrations. As a 21+ event, Night in the Tropics will provide guests wine, beer, and signature cocktails.

Night in the Tropics guests will be able to park at Rivers Casino, enjoy a free shuttle to and from the event, and enjoy free $10 slot play at the Casino after the event.

All proceeds from the event support the National Aviary’s local and international education, avian medicine, and conservation programs.

For general admission guests, festivities will start at 7 p.m. Guests who purchase VIP tickets will be able to kick off the festivities early at 6 p.m. Tickets to the event vary from $85 for general admission to $150 for VIP tickets. General admission tickets for a group of six or more will receive a reduced rate of $70 per ticket. Table reservations can be made for $150 for a group of six and $250 for a group of ten.
