Weekend events at James Street, April 14-15

Below is the list of the weekend events for Friday and Saturday at James Street Gastropub and Speakeasy. The venue is closed on Sunday in observance of the Easter holiday. Friday, April 14

Jimmy Sapienza’s Five Guys Named Moe
Speakeasy, 6-9 p.m., $5
Swingin’ cats that play Louis Jordan, Louie Prima, Satchmo, Frank, Dean, Tony, plus Sapienza originals.

Jared Sims Album Release
Ballroom, 8 p.m., $10
Jared Sims on baritone sax, Randraiz Wharton on organ, Ryan Salisbury on guitar, Nathan Peck on bass, and Brian Wolfe on drums. This band plays a mix of R&B beats and bone crushing funk. It will be mostly originals with a few other grooves thrown in. We will be celebrating the release of the new recording on Ropeadope Records.

Saturday, April 15

Silent Disco Yoga
Ballroom, 1-2:30 p.m., $10
Join Cassandra Stevens from Yoga Alliance as she collaborates with Frequency-528 for a Saturday Silent disco yoga session. Class is open to all levels of experience. Yoga Practice will be 75 mins followed by a 15 min sound healing meditation. Headphones will be used as a way to free your mind from distraction into a new direction connecting you more deeply into your asana practice. Please bring your own yoga mat, water, and hand towel.

Tony Campbell’s Jam Session
Speakeasy, 5 p.m., $5
Vocalists and musicians are welcome to jump onstage or just enjoy an early dinner with the music.

Jessica Lee & Mark Strickland Live Album Recording
Speakeasy, 8-11 p.m., $10
Join performers Jessica Lee, Mark Strickland & George Jones with special guests record a live album.  This is sure to be a magical night that you won’t want to miss!
