The New Hazlett Theater, 6 Allegheny Square East, is turning 10 this year, and to celebrate they are throwing the best 10-year-old’s birthday party you’ve ever seen with adult-sized games from City of Play, pizza and hot dogs from Wood Fired Flatbreads and Franktuary, specially themed cocktails, and yes, even a giant bouncy castle.

The party will take place on Friday, September 16 and begins at 7 p.m.

The New Hazlett wouldn’t be here without the community. Together, they’ve touched the lives of actors, musicians, dancers, performers, and everyone in between.

In addition to the festivities, the New Hazlett is asking the community to send them photos of themselves holding up 10 fingers like the folks in the photos above. Tweet the photos @newhazlett with the hashtag #10Candles or post them to Facebook.

To purchase tickets online, click here. Those with questions, please call (412) 320-4610.

Sponsors include: Fort Pitt Capital Group, HM Insurance Group, Allegheny General Hospital, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, SSB Bank, First National Bank, Judith and David Stemmler, Simpson | McCrady, Susan Gillis & Eric Kruman, Law Office of James E Abraham LLC, Maher Duessel, Wigle Whiskey, and Bistro to Go Cafe & Catering.

Host committee for the event includes: Anne Chen, Valerie Hess, Nathan Darity, Kelly Dee, Mary McKinney, Mark Flaherty, Michael Garrett, Julie Strickland Gilliard, F. Dok Harris, Michele de la Reza, Peter Kope, René Conrad and Corey LeChat, Shaina and Zack Madden, Pam and Ken McCrory, Dorna Javadi and Todd Palcic, Dr. Reshma Paranjpe, Heidi Nagle, Jim Platania, Sara Radelet, Natalia Gomez, Bill Rodgers, Tyson Schrader, Annie and Joshua Siebert, Tom Sokolowski, Betsy Teti, Ricky Walters, and Jane Werner.

The New Hazlett Theater is a non-profit performing arts center with a mission to cultivate the arts and provide a venue for world-class cultural events. Founded in 2004 with the support of the local arts community, the New Hazlett Theater provides the Pittsburgh community with access to a variety of performance arts disciplines.
