MF Urban Garden Party, June 17

On Friday, June 17, the Mattress Factory will hold its signature fundraiser from 7:30 to 11 p.m. at 500 Sampsonia Way. There is a VIP Pre-Party from 6 to 7:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $95 and VIP tickets cost $300.

During the museum’s signature fundraiser, Honorary Chair Mayor Bill Peduto will flip the switch for Hans Peter Kuhn’s “Acupuncture,” a permanent light sculpture that is installed on the roof of the museum.

“We’ll be unveiling the installation at the Urban Garden Party, which is the museum’s largest fundraiser that attracts a diverse audience that includes neighbors, artists, corporate executives and more,” MF Co-Director Michael Olijynk said. “Expect aerialists, hula hoopers, DJs from around the world, and in the end, it all supports the museum’s artistic and education programs!”

After the event, attendees can head to Penn Brewery, 800 Vinial St., for the after party. There are $3 drink specials available for those with an Urban Garden party wristband.

The Community Garden Party will be held Sunday, June 19, from 1 to 5 pm. The is a free and open to the public.
