One Northside, a Buhl Foundation initiative, in partnership with The Sprout Fund, is offering support to those who live or work on the Northside through Neighbor-to-Neighbor Grants and One Northside Grants.

Neighbor-to-Neighbor Grants of up to $1,000 can be awarded to small-scale community projects. According to www.sproutfund.org, “Projects may be one-time events, ongoing initiatives, or urgent innovations, and will be led by previous Neighbor-to-Neighbor grantees, newcomers to the program, and creative collaborations among previously-supported project team members.”

One Northside Grants of up to $5,000 can be awarded to those who advocate for large-scale projects that enrich the quality of life on the Northside. “In 2016, the One Northside Grant opportunity will be offered as a capacity-building reinvestment in the neighborhood organizations, community groups, citizen’s councils, and scaled-up Neighbor-to-Neighbor projects on the Northside that were successful implementing their projects from 2015,” according to www.sproutfund.org.

Applications for the Neighbor-to-Neighbor Grants are being accepted until Friday, July 8. Chosen applicants will be announced in May, June and July. Applications for the One Northside Grants are due on Friday, July 8 and chosen applicants will be announced in early August. Applications for the One Northside Grants will be available after Friday, May 13.
