Drilling work along East Ohio Street

Drilling work is underway on East Ohio Street, PennDOT announced in a statement.

Single-lane restrictions will occur on East Ohio Street between the Route 28 off-ramp and Madison Avenue in East Deutschtown as crews conduct utility location drilling operations. Additionally, restrictions will occur at East Ohio Street intersections at Chestnut Street and Madison Avenue. Work will occur Sunday to Friday from 7 p.m.-6 a.m. until Feb. 29. Work may also occur weekdays from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

All work is weather dependent. PennDOT urges drivers to use caution when traveling in this area.

The current work is part of the $12.7 million East Ohio Street/East Street Improvement Project.
