Northside Common Ministries in California-Kirkbride will participate in the Pittsburgh Foundation’s online “Day of Giving” Dec. 8 to combat homelessness.

A dollar-for-dollar match will be awarded to the organization for individual donations ranging from $25-10,000.

Donations will only be taken online at the Pittsburgh Foundation Critical Alert website.

The website will accept donations beginning at 8 a.m. There is a limited amount of match money so the earlier a donation is made the more likely it will be part of the match.

NCM helps dozens of homeless each year at its facility complete with food pantry, financial center and permanent housing program.
