Historic Deutschtown art space to host neighborhood celebration

Staff Reports

Historic Deutschtown’s Artist Image Resource (AIR) presents AIR n’@, a celebration of Pittsburgh’s neighborhoods, on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 4-11 p.m. The event will feature print-your-own neighborhood t-shirts; tote bags; postcards; an exhibition of donated work by AIR artists (to be raffled off during the event); a special exhibition and sale of prints from the AIR archives; live bands and lively entertainment, dancing, games; plus a DIY hot-dog-bar, beer, and a signature cocktail by LUPEC.

Party guests will have an opportunity to create their own unique Pittsburgh prints, t-shirts, tote bags and postcards using screenprinting, lithography, and letterpress methods in the print studios.

One of the signature elements of the AIR annual event is an exhibition of phenomenal work donated by artists working in the region and beyond. All of the work is raffled off for $5.00 tickets at the end of the night. It is a fantastic opportunity to own great work by significant artists, while supporting the printmaking studio.

Tickets are $15 in advanced and $20 at the door. For more information visit the official website.

All proceeds from the event and sale of artwork from the AIR archives directly supports future educational, community outreach and artist residency projects.
