PennDOT is postponing round-the-clock work on East Street for a week, but the single lane restriction between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. will be in effect until Aug. 3.

Starting next week, traffic will be reduced to a single lane permanently as construction is scheduled through mid-November. The current delay is due to excavation work on nearby Madison Avenue.

The current work is part of the $12.7 million East Ohio Street/East Street Improvement Project.
