By Justin Criado
The 5th annual Jakim Donaldson basketball camp presented by Protecting and Restoring the Order of Mankind with the Initiative of Serving Elders (P.R.O.M.I.S.E.) will be July 29-31 at Oliver high school on 2323 Brighton Road in Brightwood.
The three-day camp is free to all children ages 8-18. Only 100 slots are available this year due to limited space, and participants and parents are encouraged to register at Youth Places inside Allegheny Center’s Children’s Museum. For more information call 412-321-1019 or visit the official website.
The camp runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day. Lunch will be provided. Wear active gear and appropriate shoes.
Donaldson is a Oliver alum and international professional basketball player, who has won three league MVPs while playing in Europe.
