Sandwich Week to feature more than just good eats this year

By Justin Criado

The most delicious time of the year is back once again as the fourth annual Northside Sandwich Week sponsored by the Northside Leadership Conference kicks off today and runs until June 24, including a bike tour for the first time ever.

All week long hungry sandwich-lovers will be treated to specials at 12 participating restaurants throughout the Northside.

The sold out Northside Sandwich Sampler at the Priory Hotel in Historic Deutschtown tonight at 6 p.m. offers a chance to taste all of the one-of-a-kind sandwiches all in one place before voting for a favorite in-store throughout the week.

New for 2015, tour the Northside on June 20 and grab a few bites for the first time ever during the recently sold out Le Tour de Sandwich. This guided bike tour is perfect for newbies or regular bikers who want to see where this year’s restaurants are and sample the fare of winners past.

Participating restaurants have already announced their new creations, which includes everything from a chili dog to hummus wraps.

For a schedule of events visit the NSLC website.

The list of participating restaurants are as follows:

Atria’s PNC Park

Brighton Cafe

Chateau Cafe & Bakery

James Street Gastropub & Speakeasy

Max’s Allegehny Tavern
