The Student Conservation Association (SCA), Allegheny Commons Initiative and the Pittsburgh police and fire bureaus will beautify East Park in Allegheny Commons as well as surrounding neighborhoods this Saturday, Sept. 6 as part of a 9-11 remembrance project, according to a press release.

Volunteers will weed, mulch, garden and clear litter in the park and community from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Gloves, project supplies, snacks and lunch will be provided to all volunteers.
