‘Love Your Block’ in Brightwood this Saturday

Greening Day for the Brightwood Civic Group’s Garden, located on the corner of Lecky Avenue and Brighton Road, will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 10.

Part of the Love Your Block initiative, volunteers will be planting annual and perennial flowers, shrubs and trees, and will also be mulching the area.

Participants are asked to please bring gardening gloves and tools if they have them. Coffee and pastries will be provided to volunteers.

Love Your Block is a partnership of the City of Pittsburgh and The Home Depot Foundation to revitalize Pittsburgh.
