The Northside Oldtimers organization would like to inform the public that its 2014 Unity Gathering will take place this August in West Park.

English Burton, one of the NSOT founders, said Saturday, August 2 will be the Unity Gathering and Sunday, August 3 will be Praise in the Park.

According to NSOT website, it is a “non-profit organization concerned with the growth and wellbeing of our young people” and it deals with 19 different Northside communities.

“The purpose of organizing the Northside Oldtimers was to try and positively impact the lives of our children and also help curb or stop the violence our young children are experiencing,” NSOT website said. “Our programs deal primarily with all children grades K-8, but we look to impact the lives of all of our young people.”
