Volunteers from Brightwood, Rivers Casino and Tree Pittsburgh spent Tuesday, October 8, cared for 75 trees and planted nearly 700 daffodil bulbs on Brightwood Streets.
More than 20 volunteers pruned and landscaped treebeds and planted daffodils, provided by Rivers, along Shadeland Avenue, Woodland Avenue and Washburn Square.
Community organizers called the day “wonderful accomplishment” for the neighborhood, and are looking forward to see their hard work bloom this spring.
