Well probably not­—but it’s a great philosophy to adopt next week because starting Monday, 13 Northside restaurants will be celebrating the second annual Sandwich Week with tasty sandwich specials June 17-23.

Peppi’s The Big Wheeler

Max’s Allegheny Tavern’s Cabbage and Corn Beef Sliders

Deli on North’s Avocado Bleu

Benjamin’s Signature Burger

Rumerz’s Cryptonite

Allegheny Elks Lodge’s Elk’s Fish Fry

True sandwiches aficionados can try them all on Thursday June 20^th at the sandwich sampler at the Allegheny Elks’ Lodge at 400 Cedar Ave.

All restaurants will be there with samples and each ticket also includes two Penn Brewery beers and dessert.

This year’s celebrity judges will be former Steeler Louis Lipps, food blogger Julia Gongaware, WYEP host Joey Spehar, singer Etta Cox and KDKA’s Jon Delano.
