What: Northside/North Shore Chamber Holiday Gala

The Northside/North Shore Chamber of Commerce cordially invites you and your business to participate in their Fifth Annual Holiday Gala. A chance to celebrate the holidays with family, friends, employees and clients, the Gala also includes food and toy collections for local charities and a holiday photo-booth.
Tickets can be purchased for $85 each, which includes a choice of wine and beer for the evening. Sponsoring the event is also possible, and is a great way to show support of the Chamber and the Northside and North Shore areas.

What: Old Allegheny Victorian Christmas House Tour
Where: Allegheny West
When: Dec. 7 and Dec. 8
The Old Allegheny Victorian Christmas House Tour is back again, celebrating the 150th anniversary of Thomas Nast’s Santa Claus. Featuring restored Victorian homes, the tour also has the historic Calvary United Methodist Church, famous for its Louis Tiffany stained glass windows celebrating a 19th Century Christmas.
The tours are personally guided, and are an opportunity to glimpse into a by-gone era and enjoy the warmth of the season. The homes on the tour are lavishly decorated for the holidays; with towering Christmas trees, and pine, holy and mistletoe on stairs and chandeliers.
Part of Rick Sebak’s Emmy Award® winning documentary, Happy Holidays in Pittsburgh, showcasing the finest holidy celebrations in Western Pennsylvania, this tour is a must see!

Saturday, December 8
What: Breakfast with Santa
Where: Allegheny YMCA, 600 West North Avenue
When: Dec. 8, 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.
Eat a continental breakfast, visit with Santa and create some lasting memories at this annual YMCA family event. After breakfast, Santa will read ‘Twas the Night before Christmas’ before heading back to the North Pole.
Parents can also enjoy the Allegheny West Christmas House Tour from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and let the YMCA care for the kids. There will be arts and crafts provided, and the Mattress Factory will display the Automatic Scribble Machines at the YMCA for the children.
