Aviary asks if your coffee is “REALLY bird friendly”

Left: Environmental writer and radio host Scott Shalaway

Do you know the environmental impact your morning cup of coffee has on birds and other species? Don’t worry, most people don’t either, which is why the National Aviary is hosting a free lecture that asks “Is Your Coffee REALLY Bird Friendly” tonight at 7 p.m.

Radio host and environmental blogger Scott Shalaway will lecture about the impact of commercial production of common things like coffee on birds and the environment as a whole. The event will include also samples of shade-grown, bird-friendly coffee.
