The City of Pittsburgh, in cooperation with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PENNDOT), Engineering District 11-0, and the Federal Highway Administration, is conducting a public meeting for the West Ohio Street (S.R. 4084) and Ridge Avenue Bridges project. The open house will be held on June 14, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the New Hazlett Theater, 6 Allegheny Square East, Pittsburgh, PA 15212. A short formal presentation of the project will be conducted at 6:30 p.m.
The purpose of this meeting is to present the proposed project purpose and need, schedule, alternatives, impacts on environmental and historical resources, and to solicit input on a preferred alternative. In addition, the City of Pittsburgh and its consultants will be available to answer questions and gather feedback. This project involves the proposed rehabilitation or replacement of the West Ohio Street Bridge and removal of the Ridge Avenue Bridge located on the North Side.
