One Vision One Life will be sponsoring a free, public event with special guest speaker Reggie Bullock. Bullock is the filmmaker of “A War For Your Soul”, a film exploring the social issues that plague urban communities. A question and answer session will follow the showing of “A War For Your Soul”. What: Weed ‘N Feed Community Service Project
Where: Fowler Park
When: 8 a.m.
Meet up next at Fowler Park to help the Pittsburgh Project reclaim a neighborhood jewel by helping to remove very invasive knotweed. This weed is hard to control and must be removed periodically to win a battle of eliminating the weed. Volunteers will enjoy a party at the end in the afternoon featuring local artists such as jazz vocalist Joy Ike. There will also be a breakfast and a potluck lunch. What: Elks Flag Day Celebration
Where: Allegheny Elks, Cedar Ave.
When: 2 p.m.
The celebration is to honor “Old Glory” in a special Elks service and a picnic-style event afterward. The Pittsburgh Banjo Club will entertain us this year. The event is free. We will have raffles, auctions and surprises that day. Please RSVP at 412-321-1834.

What: Brighton Heights Chocolate House Tour
Where: All Saints Episcopal Church, Davis and McClure avenues
When: noon to 5 p.m.
The 2011 Brighton Heights Chocolate House Tour will run from noon to 5pm June 12. The annual walking house tour, hosted by the Brighton Heights Citizens Federation will start at All Saints Episcopal Church at Davis and McClure avenues.
