If running isn’t really your thing, or you missed out on marathon registration, Allegheny General Hospital’s Hearts in the Park Walk might be more your speed.
The event starts tomorrow, May 14 at 8 a.m. in Allegheny Commons Park directly across from Allegheny General Hospital. The walk is two miles.
The eighth annual Hearts in the Park Walk supports cardiovascular research and raises awareness, according to the event’s brochure. The walk is family and dog friendly, and proceeds benefit the Gerald McGinnis Cardiovascular Institute’s Center for Research and Innovation.
