A dedicated group of Summer Hill and Observatory Hill residents and volunteers got together last Saturday, April 16 to clean up East Street. All told, they gathered 30 bags of trash, 15 tires, copper wiring, car parts and a box spring.
Rain that began around noon cut the clean up day short, but the group managed to clean from the Parkway North overpass to the Venture Street exit, and are planning more clean ups in the near future, said Summer Hill Citizens Committee member David Schuilenburg.
