After painting pumpkins at Pumpkinfest this weekend (see the ad in the October edition for the details, or go to deutschtown.org), pull out the carving knives for The Northside Chronicle’s first-ever pumpkin carving contest!

Please buy a new pumpkin to carve — we’re sure your Pumpkinfest pumpkins are going to be too pretty to carve up!

The prize for winning is a $25 gift card to Rita’s.  Kids under age 12 are welcome to enter, but we ask that parents help out to avoid any injuries!  You can use our Northside Chronicle pumpkin head pattern in the October issue of the paper, or find your own.  We’re judging based on creativity, not artistic skill, so let your imagination run wild!

The Chronicle will also have a table set up at the Pumpkinfest, with crafts for the kids AND a raffle for another Rita’s gift card!  Come out and say hello to us!
