During and before the G-20 economic summit, most roads in and out of Downtown will be closed, and many Port Authority buses will follow detours. Buses and the T will still have access to most of Downtown outside of the David Lawrence Convention Center security perimeter.
Pedestrian and cyclist access will not be limited, except within the security perimeter around the convention center. Only Downtown residents, deliveries, taxies and hotel shuttles will have vehicular access to much of the Central Business District during the summit.
For those who work Downtown, the City has identified alternate parking locations in Uptown, the lower Hill District and the North Shore. It is also encouraging people to utilize Park and Ride parking lots and take a bus or light rail train into Downtown.
The Port Authority announced that all buses will run on a normal weekday schedule, and will only be detoured through Downtown. Most will run along the Boulevard of the Allies.
The T will run to First Avenue Station, but all other Downtown stations will close.
The Port Authority warns that while buses will operate on a normal schedule, it cannot plan for traffic or other congestion and riders may face significant delays.
A listing of all bus routes affected by the G-20 can be found at www.portauthority.com/g20. Riders should check their individual routes to see how they will change during the summit.
Downtown access points for vehicular traffic during the summit are the Smithfield Street Bridge at West Carson Street, Fifth Avenue at Ross Street and the Roberto Clemente Bridge at Isabella Street. Pedestrians and cyclists can enter at any point, except near the security perimeter.

-YMCA, Allegheny Branch
-All CCAC campuses, including the Allegheny Campus on Ridge Avenue, will be closed from Wednesday, Sept. 23 through Friday, Sept. 25.
