Health Department announces new food establishments

The Allegheny County Health Department today reported eleven new food establishments opened in the County last month, including one convenience store, eight restaurants, one grocery store, and one retailer.

“We inspect and approve new food establishments and announce their openings as a service to the public and the food industry,” said County Health Director Dr. Bruce W. Dixon.

Four facilities opened in Pittsburgh: Hofbrauhaus, 2705 South Water Street and Emiliano’s Mexican Grill & Bar, 2557 East Carson Street, both on the Southside; Istanbul Grille, 643 Liberty Avenue, Downtown; and Mia Madre Trattoria Cafe, 649 California Avenue, North Side.

Five in the south: Yuehe On 8th, 106 East Eighth Avenue and “Home Cooked” By Donna, 243 East Eighth Avenue, both in Homestead; Everything And Then Some, 448 St. Clair Avenue, Clairton; Variety Video, 115 Second Street, Elizabeth Borough; and Little Joe’s Pizza, 4601 Library Road, Bethel Park.

One in the north: Steel City Pizza & Grille, 415 East Fourth Avenue, Tarentum.

One in the west: Aldi’s, 114 Chartiers Avenue, McKees Rocks.
