Northside Rotary Club Offers Children a Visit To Santa

The parking lot in front of the Giant Eagle on Brighton Road is not the usual place for people to meet Santa. But on Dec. 13, members of the Northside Rotary Club volunteered free pictures with Santa as part of their donation to the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign.

Wayne Alling, a local Nationwide Insurance Agent and Vice-President of the Northside Rotary Club, volunteered to wear the red suit and beard, even bringing along a terrible towel to wave to people driving or walking by.

The goal for the Red Kettle Campaign for the Northside Salvation Army is $155,000, brought in by the traditional bell-ringers stationed at supermarkets and local stores all over the Northside.
