Three Northside pools open for summer
Three Pittsburgh public pools on the Northside are open for the 2026 season.
Jack Stack, Riverview and Sue Murray pools all opened on June 15. Each pool’s hours are as follows:
- Jack Stack: Weekdays noon to 7:45 p.m., weekends noon to 5:45 p.m.
- Riverview: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays noon to 7:45 p.m.; weekends and holidays noon to 5:45 p.m.
- Sue Murray: Weekdays noon to 5 p.m.
Both Jack Stack and Riverview pools have adult lap swims during the first hour and final 45 minutes of operation each day.
Brighton Heights Book Fair taking place July 18
The Brighton Heights Book Fair will take place July 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Legion Park, located at the corner of Davis and Shadeland avenues.
The fair will have books available for both children and adults, and will also feature a book swap, kids activity zone and other activities.
Admission to the event is free and open to the public.
