Business & Community Briefs: Jan. 2026

The Park House, a historic Northside business dating back to the 1930s, has reopened after a four-year closure.

The Park House officially reopened on Dec. 5, and is open Wednesdays through Saturdays, from 4 p.m. to midnight.

Located at 403 E. Ohio St., the new Park House features expanded food options compared to the previous iteration of the restaurant, according to a press release accompanying the opening.

This expansion of the food menu is one of the main causes of the delay, according to the press release.

“We initially met some delays as a result of post-pandemic supply chain issues,” said owner Michelle Lynch in the press release. “But the biggest delays were the result of a series of evolving decisions we made to expand the food service at the tavern, which necessitated additional permitting and a complete construction of a basement-level prep kitchen.”

Lynch purchased the business in 2021 and was working to reopen the business during the intervening time.

The Chronicle intends to have a full article on the reopening in the February issue. Check out that edition when it releases for more information.
