Northside Chronicle named Golden Quill finalist

Northside Chronicle named Golden Quill finalist

The Northside Chronicle has been named a finalist in the 2025 Press Club of Western Pennsylvania Golden Quill Award.

The Chronicle's article "Catching up with Tom Friday's new owners," published in the February 2024 issue and written by Managing Editor Sean P. Ray, was nominated for a Golden Quill in the Excellent in Written Journalism - Business/Technology/Consumer category. The Chronicle competes in Division 3 of the Golden Quill Awards.

At time of writing, the remaining nominees have not been announced. The complete list of nominees will be available at westernpapressclub.org/about-the-quills once all finalists have been notified.

The 2025 Golden Quill Awards dinner will take place on May 28 at Rivers Casino. It is an invitation-only event.

The Chronicle staff are thankful for the nomination and hope to secure a Golden Quill at this year's awards show.
